How to Bring your Custom Designs to Life

Have a dream of a shirt you want but can’t seem to find it anywhere in stores? Lucky for you, Sunny & Southern and Sorority Lane does custom designs! With our amount of shirt and color options, it can be a little overwhelming. Which is why we are going to walk you through the process step-by-step to help you bring your idea to life!

  1. Pick a base. Do you want the design on a pocket tee or tank? A regular tee or tank? How about Comfort Colors vs Gildan? Maybe even a Bella Canvas tank or tee? There are so many options and colors of tees and tanks we have so we are going to break it down for you.
    Gildan.
Gildan shirts and sweatshirts are more budget-friendly. They only come in unisex styles for a looser fit.
Comfort Colors. Comfort Colors also only come in unisex fits and are of higher quality than Gildan. These tees and tanks are made to feel softer, lived in, and worn without looking like they were. These shirts and tanks also come with the option to have a pocket and come in a lot more unique colors compared to Gildan.
Bella Canvas. Bella Canvas tees and tanks are a more relaxed slouchy fabric making them a higher quality tee and tank as well just like Comfort Colors. The fabric tends to be lightweight compared to Comfort Colors. Just like Comfort Colors, they also come in more unique shades and colors. With Bella Canvas you also have more style options such as unisex tee, women’s slouchy tank, women’s racerback tank, women’s rough-cut racerback tank, women’s slouchy v-neck tee, women’s slouchy scoop neck tee, and more.
  2. Pick a color. As mentioned above, different styles and brands of shirts offer different color options. Make sure you go through all of the options to find the perfect color you want!
  3. Pick your size. Some shirts work better for different styles. If you want to crop your shirts, the best styles for cutting would be Gildan or Comfort Colors. For tying, make sure you size up and pick a Bella Canvas shirt since they are lighter weight and easier to tie.
  4. Pick the location of your design. Do you want your design on the front, back, or both? (There is an additional cost if you want front and back of the shirt.)
  5. Pick the size of the design. You can get a small design on the left chest or it can take up the entire front or back!
  6. Select the colors. Make sure you count how many colors are in the design you want as well. Anything more than one color will be an additional cost. (The design will be printed on, not stitched)
  7. Describe the design. In the area provided when ordering your custom design, describe what your design will be. The more you describe it to us the better it will turn out! Be as descriptive as possible when filling this portion out to ensure that there aren’t any miscommunications. Include pictures if you have them! The best way to get your design perfect the first time around is to upload photos to the order.
  8. Now you wait! Once it’s ordered, our designer will get to designing a proof for you on a first come first serve basis. Pay attention to turnaround times and shipping times when ordering if you need it by a certain date! Also, keep an eye on your email and phone. If we have any questions or concerns regarding your custom design, we will reach out to you either of those ways.
